Not only did they have to implement a series of changes to Grand Theft Auto 5 and remaster the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but they had to offer at least some novelty to their lineup to keep the fandom engaged. Taking a step back, this last year wasn’t an easy one for Rockstar Games. That could very well be the case with the presumed Grand Theft Auto 6, but the developer hasn’t offered either a release date, the supported platforms, or the gameplay and narrative specifics. Rockstar Games is known for running a tight ship when it comes to developing its gaming titles and has often opted to reveal their projects once their development is in its final stages. However, after years of unverified rumors, failed releases, and spending quite possibly a year or two in development hell, the next entry in the franchise has finally moved from the realm of speculation to the realm of possibility.

Given the astronomical success of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online, the release of GTA 6 seemed like a logical next step for Rockstar Games. The official press release simply stated that development on 'the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. However, the possibility of this house being a leak for the new game should be taken with a grain of salt. Rockstar hasnt even explicitly named it 'GTA 6', but everyone is going to be calling it that for the sake of ease until an official name is revealed, and it turns out to be something different - which is unlikely.

The photograph of a mysterious house can be found in the definitive edition of San Andreas, and it was shared by Kirsty Cloud on Twitter. There have been a few minor rumors indicating the campaign will be over 70 hours long, and that a house seen during the UFO mission in San Andreas is actually a leaked image. If the estimated timeline is correct, then the next-gen consoles will have been out for at least four years, so it's possible the game won't be available on older consoles. However, Grand Theft Auto 6 is estimated to arrive in 2024 or 2025. The last title was released in 2013, the same year that Xbox One and PlayStation 4 became available, so it was available on older consoles as well.
